Coming Soon! PEG-MGF is a PEGylated form of mechano growth factor, a splice variant of IGF-1 (IGF-1Ec) released by skeletal muscle in response to mechanical loading and damage. PEGylation extends the peptide’s circulating half-life, which in its native form is exceptionally short.
Research has investigated MGF’s role in satellite cell activation, muscle fiber repair, and hypertrophic signaling. PEG-MGF has been used as a research tool to probe the longer-duration effects of MGF receptor engagement in models of muscle injury and recovery.
