Description
Hexarelin is a synthetic hexapeptide and potent agonist of the growth hormone secretagogue receptor (GHSR / ghrelin receptor). It stimulates pulsatile growth hormone release from the anterior pituitary with greater potency than GHRP-6 and Ipamorelin in comparative studies.
Beyond GH stimulation, research has investigated Hexarelin’s binding to CD36 in cardiac tissue, examining cardioprotective effects in models of ischemia and myocardial dysfunction that appear independent of the GH axis.
